Custom Window Shadings in Ypsilanti, MI

Light and privacy for Ypsilanti parlors and lofts

A window shading holds soft fabric vanes between two sheer layers. Tilt the vanes open and light comes through with a gentle glow while you can still see outside; tilt them closed for privacy; raise the shading and it rolls up neatly into the headrail.

That balance suits Ypsilanti well. Many older homes sit close to the sidewalk, with tall front windows that look straight onto the porch and the street. Shadings let you leave the vanes partly open so the room stays bright while passers-by see only a soft blur. In lofts and condos downtown and in Depot Town, shadings soften big street-facing windows and the afternoon sun without blocking the view of the street below. And on tall Victorian windows, the soft fabric look feels more at home than hard slats.

As a Hunter Douglas authorized dealer, we carry Silhouette® window shadings in a range of fabrics, colors and vane sizes, with PowerView® motorization available for tall or hard-to-reach windows.
